Master AutoTech Millcreek does conventional, synthetic blend, high-mileage and full synthetic oil changes for drivers across Millcreek, Holladay and the east bench on Highland Drive. Every oil change includes a multi-point inspection and fluid top-offs, and we’re open Monday through Friday.
Our bays are on Highland Drive just south of 3300 South, so an oil change fits into a lunch break. Drop your car in our lot and grab a coffee at Millcreek Coffee Roasters, a short walk up Highland Drive.

How Much Does an Oil Change Cost in Millcreek?

For older, simpler engines with light use. Change about every 3,000–5,000 miles.
High-mileage oil
For engines past 75,000 miles. Conditioners help reduce leaks and oil burning. About every 5,000 miles.

A step up in protection for daily drivers, towing and Utah temperature swings. About every 5,000 miles.

Required by many newer, turbocharged and European engines. Best cold-start protection. Up to 7,500 miles.

What’s Included in Every Oil Change
Every visit follows the same three steps:
- Consultation. We look up your vehicle’s requirements and recommend the right oil and filter for how you drive.
- Oil & filter replacement. We drain the old oil, replace the filter and refill with fresh oil to the correct level.
- Multi-point inspection. A complimentary check of the items below, so small problems get caught early.

How Often Should You Change Your Oil?
Engine oil lubricates moving parts, reduces friction and carries heat and dirt away. Over time it breaks down and protects less, which leads to wear, lost performance and eventually engine damage, so changing it on schedule is one of the cheapest ways to make an engine last.
Follow your owner’s manual first. As a rule, most vehicles need an oil change every 3,000 to 7,500 miles, or at least once a year even if you don’t drive much. Short trips in Salt Lake County winters, towing, and dusty summer driving count as severe service and shorten the interval.

We’re a family-owned shop that treats every vehicle like it belongs to a neighbor. Master AutoTech started as Master Muffler in 1963 and grew into Utah’s largest auto repair franchise. Every technician here earns ASE certification within 90 days of joining the team.
You’ll find us on Highland Drive just south of 3300 South, next to The Home Depot and a few blocks from Millcreek Common. I-80 is about a mile and a half north. Look for the red two-story storefront and pull into our lot on Highland Drive.
