The Nissan Leaf is the latter, as it has become the highest-selling electric car in the history of automobiles. There’s great reason for this. The Leaf is a very comfortable car to drive, and has a very comfortable 135 km of range. This little wonder car is also available at a very affordable price tag of around just $20,000.
Renault Zoe
Nearly every industrialized country on Earth has a company that is working towards higher performance electric cars. The Renault Zoe is the flagship of France’s effort towards this global endeavor. The Zoe is an all around solid car that is right there in the price range of the Nissan Leaf. The interior of the car is quite elegant, and speaks to a semblance of luxury. While the electric motor can only produce a top speed of 88 mph, it has really nice range for an electric car (and most speed limits around the world don’t even get near 88 mph, anyways).
